Becoming a Granite Bear: Kindergarten Edition 2024

If your child will be 5 years old on or before August 31, 2024, it's time to register for kindergarten! Do you want your child supported where they are in their learning so they will grow to their full potential? BH Tharrington Primary (BHT) is the school for you!

 

Dates and To Dos:

    • Starting Now: Pick up your enrollment packet by visiting BHT at 315 Culbert Street
    • February 13, 2024 from 6:00-7:00 pm Rising Kindergarten Informational Meeting
  • Those interested in Dual Language Immersion must attend one school tour. Remaining tours January 18, 2024 and February 8, 2024. Registration found https://bit.ly/MACStour 
  • March 1, 2024: Dual Language Immersion Lottery Registration closes
  • March 11: Completed enrollment packets are due to BHT 
  • March 22, 2024 at 12:00 noon: Dual Language Immersion Lottery
  • March 25, 2024: Dual Language Acceptance/Waitlist Letters mailed to families
  • July 31, 2024 OR August 1, 2024: Diving Into Kindergarten (must pre-register via link below or by calling the office)
  • August 13 and 14, 2024: Staggered Entry Days (Kindergarten only; your child will be assigned one day)
  • August 15, 2024: First day of school for all kindergarten students

This event is for children who are registered to attend kindergarten at BHT.  Your child may attend either on July 31st or August 1st—students will only attend on ONE of these days.  Students will attend this event from 8:30-11:30 am on this day.  Parents will drop their child off for a time of learning and fun!  Students will tour the school, meet the kindergarten staff, and learn what school is all about!  Teachers will also assess your child on this day in order to begin planning for your child’s education.  

 

We will serve all students a mid-morning snack.  Be sure to feed your child breakfast before this event.  Lunch will not be served.  Transportation will not be provided.  Parents should pick up their child in the car line which is located on the side of the building (signs will be posted). 

 

We will begin accepting students for this event at 8:15 am.  Please walk your child to the front doors of our school.  We can’t WAIT to meet you!
