Hello! My name is Beth Martin and I have been teaching for 18 years. I have taught 2nd grade, 1st grade and this is my 2nd year in 2nd grade. Teaching is my second career. I was in banking for 10 years after I graduated from Radford University in 1991. In 2002 I gave birth to twins, Sam and Sarah, who bring me the greatest joy in life. They graduate from Mount Airy High School in 2020. I was fortunate enough to be able to stay home with them for four years. I went back to school and received my Masters of Arts in Teaching from Salem College in 2008 and have loved teaching ever since. I really enjoyed school when I was growing up because I love learning new things. I believe we are all lifelong learners and I hold high expectations for my students!
