Meet Mrs. Trotter

My name is Eve Trotter, I am from Mount Airy and I am proud to say that I am a product of Mount Airy City Schools. I graduated from Appalachian State in 2009 and have been teaching ever since.  This is my third year at BHT.  Prior to returning to MACS I taught in Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools and Carroll County Schools (Virginia). Each experience thus far in my career has influenced my teaching craft and given me diverse perspective which pushes me to improve as an educator.  I feel very lucky to be a Granite Bear once again!

Education:
  • Mount Airy High School- 2005
  • Appalachian State University, B.S. Elementary Education, 2009
  • Appalachian State University, M.A. School Administration, 2017
  • National Board Certification, Early Childhood Generalist, 2014

My family consists of myself, my husband Gray, and our son Wes.  In my free time I enjoy reading, spending time with loved ones, going to Boone for football games and beautiful scenery, traveling, and listening to music.

I absolutely love my job as the Literacy Specialist at BHT. I enjoy teaching because it gives me the chance to be creative, influence the lives of young people in a positive way, and act like a kid all over again.

Thank you for trusting your children to me, please do not hesitate to reach out to me if you have any questions about literacy at BHT or if I can help you in any way.  [email protected]

Happy Reading,
Mrs. Trotter
